Jack Osbourne has hit back at Roger Waters after the former Pink Floyd musician insulted his late father, Ozzy Osbourne, during a recent interview.
The Black Sabbath frontman sadly died at his family home in Buckinghamshire, England, on July 22nd, aged 76. Since then, the musical world has been mourning the loss of the rock icon, with bands ranging from Oasis to Coldplay honouring him at concerts.
Nevertheless, during a recent interview with The Independent Ink, Waters made a series of unfavourable comments about Osbourne, which have angered his son, Jack.
He shared: “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life. We’ll never know. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck.”
Waters then turned his attention to Ozzy’s reality show with his family, The Osbournes, stating, “Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years, with his idiocy and nonsense. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck.”
Lastly, he attacked Black Sabbath, adding, “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
In response, Jack took to social media to share his disdain for Waters, writing, “Hey Roger Waters fuck you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press. My father always thought you were a cunt — thanks for proving him right.”
Jack signed off the message by adding, “#FuckRogerWaters”.
While Jack shared his father’s opinion on Waters, which he kept private, Osbourne was complimentary about Pink Floyd as a band. He once said, “The Floyd made good albums; I don’t think they ever made a bad one.”
Meanwhile, last week, Kelly Osbourne leapt to the defence of her father after WWE wrestler Becky Lynch used him to get heat from the crowd in Birmingham. Lynch, whose character is a heel, said to the Midlands crowd: “I’m not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago. But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to LA, a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”
In response, Kelly took to Instagram Stories to describe Lynch as a “disrespectful dirtbag” and claimed “Birmingham would not piss on you if you were on fire.”
